Robbery at knifepoint

A GOLD Coast man has been charged with robbing a man at knifepoint at Broadbeach in the early hours yesterday.

Police allege Jim Cameron Newbauld, 19, used a knife to rob a man of his mobile phone at Pratten Park at 2am.

He was charged with armed robbery after being identified on a photo board.

Newbauld was granted bail after appearing in the Southport Magistrates Court yesterday. The matter was adjourned until October 9.
