Held over tresspass

A HONG KONG man spent the weekend in the Southport Watchhouse after flying to Australia to discover his relative didn’t want anything to do with him.

The Southport Magistrates Court heard Kin Yoon, 56, arrived uninvited and unannounced at a family member’s Gold Coast home last week where he was told he could not stay.

But this did not deter Yoon, who allegedly trespassed at the Runaway Bay property three times. The family were so concerned they left the house.

Magistrate Don Mackenzie adjourned the matter until today when a Cantonese interpreter would be available.
