SURFERS SALE NO DONE DEAL

KEN Done, artist, and family appear to have aborted an attempt to sell off a threelevel building in the heart of Surfers Paradise, bought nearly 30 years ago for $7.1 million.

The property, marketed with concept plans for a 25level tower with shops and 66 apartments, apparently drew a $5 million-plus firm offer from an expatriate before being ‘de-listed’.

It seems EG Funds, which plans twin towers called Wanderlust on adjoining land, never made an offer.
