Queensland makes waves

FOUR Queensland grommet champions were crowned yesterday at the final event of the 2018 State Grommet Surfing Titles series.

Ty Richardson (Palm Beach) took out the under-14 boys division for the second year in a row, and Liliana Bowery (Tewantin) took out the under 14 girls division for the second year in a row as well. Rico Haybittle (Burleigh Heads) took out the under-12 boys series and Stella Green (Buddina) took out the under-12 girls. The competition was at The Spit.
