IS OLLIE THE COAST’S CUTEST PET?

- KATE PARASKEVOS

LITTLE Jack Russell-cross border collie Ollie may be a senior dog, but his owner Montanna Dowden thinks her pet is the cutest pup on the Gold Coast.

Adopting him from the pound at five months old, Ms Dowden said the pair are best friends – and Ollie even helped alert her to the fact she had a serious medical condition.

“When I was 12 I was diagnosed with seizures. Prior to this I had a six-hour seizure which he managed to sense as he licked my face to wake me up which he never did before and has never done since,” she said.

“He knew something was wrong as I was later diagnosed with epilepsy.

“I think he is the cutest pet because whenever I look at him my heart absolutely melts, his personality always puts a smile on everyone’s face. He is loyal and a source of constant cuddles.”

The Gold Coast Bulletin Cutest Pet competition is judged on the most interesting and creative photos showing how cute your pet is.
