TWEED Shire Council has launched a $60,000 annual grant program to tackle climate change and biodiversi­ty.

Tweed Mayor Katie Milne announced the program at the Sustainabl­e Living Home Expo at Kingcliff TAFE, and said applicants can now develop solutions to the area’s problems.

“This grant gives us the opportunit­y to draw out the vast wealth of great ideas and goodwill that is within the Tweed community,” she said.

Applicants can receive up to $15,000 and be assessed up to four times a year.
