Bill happy with Jesus
FORMER governor general and lifelong atheist Bill Hayden wants Australians to follow his lead and turn back to religion and faith.
In an act of going home to Catholicism, Mr Hayden, 85, was earlier this month baptised at St Mary’s in Ipswich.
A spiritual awakening caused Mr Hayden to embrace Jesus and say Australians need to search for moral grounding.
He said he wasn’t going to “run around like a born again Christian” but show the benefits of a Christian life through how he treats others.
