YOUNG TWINS HELP OUT WORTHY CAUSE

-

SIX-year-old twins Fynn and Kaya Baxter have raised $5000 for the Currumbin Community Special School by riding their bikes.

Following in their proud dad Andy Baxter’s footsteps, the twins were inspired to raise their own money after watching their dad during the Condev Cares Life Cycle event.

The Life Cycle event saw riders travel from Newcastle to the Gold Coast last week to raise money to purchase new mobility equipment for the Currumbin Special School.

With Fynn and Kaya’s contribution, the 70 riders involved in the Life Cycle have raised more than $50,000.

“I’m incredibly proud of my two kids, who insisted on being involved in the Life Cycle even though they are too young for the main event,” said Mr Baxter.

“They get so much joy out of the mobility provided to them by their bikes and understand how much of a difference they can make for the children at the Currumbin Community Special School.”

The Currumbin Community Special School will use the donation to purchase two duet Electro tandem bicycles, worth $12,100 each, two Rifton Dynamic Pacers worth $5332 each, and six HHS7 Handy Upright Handcycles worth $1500 each.
