MAX AND MIDGE A DYNAMIC DUO

A DYNAMIC duo cat and dog have very different personalities but both have one thing in common – they love adventure.

Bonogin residents Ben Carroll, 20, and his brother James Sheppard-Carroll, 7, believe their pets deserve to win the Gold Coast’s Cutest Pet competition.

Max, 9, is a Himalayancross-Persian cat with fluffy white fur and Midge is a two-year-old labradorborder collie cross.

Ben said Midge was very energetic and has a few hobbies, but his favourite by far was going for a ride in the car.

“If you take him for a ride, he will refuse to get out when we get home,” he said.

“He can also play with a balloon. If you throw it, he’ll hit it back to you.”

Max wasn’t the happiest when Midge arrived but they now have an unlikely friendship.
