Jury retires in drug trial

THE jury has retired in the case against a man alleged to have smuggled cocaine into Queensland in the fibreglass frame of a yacht. Martin Mayers has pleaded not guilty in the Brisbane Supreme Court to importing 90 blocks of cocaine from Ecuador in 2015 on a yacht. Jordan Antic and Victor Vladimir Jocic are also accused of attempting to possess 29kg of the cocaine.

The jury are expected continue deliberating today. to
