Love Keith Woods’ unwanted Gambling hub story in today’s bulletin! Fully agree government & local council should start listening to what we the people really do want! Not creating so many more problems than they already have on our once Golden coast! Citizen Brett

Not rocket science Paul from Tugun! The greedy banks sit on the money and earn interest.

3 to 4 days to clear a cheque today still probably because the bank staff of today stare at it for a couple of days wondering what it is!!

Dave S, scientists have in many ways discredited themselves over the years by putting the dollar before the fact. We do need to care for our environment but humans only contribute less than 1% towards global warming so we need to keep perspective. Also you never hear where the billions raised by global warming go. Graz

Great to hear UBET (QLD TAB) is changing its name from UBET back to TAB. TAB is an iconic Aussie name and brand like QANTAS and should never have been changed to UBET in the first place. Percy the Place Punter

Bet the majority of international tourists don’t have any idea of GC600 but see masses of concrete, restricted access to beach & traffic mess! Do any locals actually pay? Most see from balconies, have drinkies with their friends & don’t spend a cent on track or nearby restaurants! The VIP tent patrons probably don’t pay. Every year there are less numbers at the event - waste of money the whole thing.

What is Queensland Transport doing? At the intersection of Smith Street and Napper Road when turning left from Smith St they have removed the green arrow, but left the red arrow, total confusion. Then at the same time traffic turning right from Smith St into Napper Rd get a green arrow. No warning that these two lights allow cars and trucks to enter Napper Rd at the same time. Major accident waiting to happen.

Stop charging too much for the footy games on the GC you fools!! Then u will certainly fill the stadiums. No Brainer.

Brisbane police are cracking down on cyclists going through red lights and speeding. Can this be done to cyclists doing the same on Gold Coast highway on sat morning from Paradise Point to Coolangatta? Stava hater

We have yet another P.M. and I am still waiting for one of them to get SERIOUS about Australia,

Australians, and our country … not the au-pair situation … Be Safe, TRUE BLUE.

Keith Woods nailed it again Wednesday article on the need (not) of a second Casino on the Goldie. Get a referendum Anastasia B4 U decide more gambling is needed on the Coast. We don’t want a 2nd Gambling Hub!! Commonsense Resident

Bring back the beaut 60s and 70s when law and commonsense actually mattered and the current myriad of whining fringe groups did not exist to torture governments and everyday taxpayers. Australia is a mess with little hope of being beaut again, especially with climate change nonsense and ridiculous political correctness running rampant.

The only way courts are going to hand down a satisfactory penalty is when there is a minimum penalty not a maximum penalty. Barney

All my friends selling their houses now before the property market collapses. The fear is spreading. Dominoes already falling. And another global credit crunch about to hit. Battler bankruptcies about to skyrocket. - Rick

The reason we have a traffic problem on the coast has a lot to do with all the goons who see fit to drive at 10k below the limit and probably can’t figure out why they are constantly abused. Woodleigh

Gotta love Womens logic. Wifey only ever puts in 25 worth of petrol, so petrol has never gone up. What a wonderful world she lives in. Tezza

Vested interests, who else, want to build a new casino. They need it to entice Chinese gamblers to not only visit the casino but to also lease the thousands of new apartments currently under construction.

What an amazing text from J Kruger. Bet your Dad is proud to be a Suns supporter. It’s not all about winning. What amazing athletes you are to show such concern. Good luck next year. Good story. TP

To J Kruger. What a heart warming story. Although I’m not an AFL fan it’s so nice to see that some football clubs do so much good instead of the bad behaviour of the majority. Good on you GC Suns keep up the good work and fine example setting. And I hope your dad gets better soon. John Z

Read a good quote the other day which stated that politicians are like spies as they are both trained to lie and sell it like the truth. Ozman

Why is this lowlife person Zhang not deported for beating those beautiful dogs. He was found guilty. George Kosir
