Doom eyes a double

ANDREW Adkins, the regular rider of Daysee Doom, maintains the mare is going as well as ever for her attempt tomorrow to become the only dual winner of the $400,000 Group 2 Golden Pendant at Rosehill.

Daysee Doom edged out Dixie Blossoms in a Golden Pendant thriller last year and the Ron Quinton-trained mares again look hard to beat in the 1400m race tomorrow.

Adkins has a special affinity with Daysee Doom, having ridden her in 20 of her 23 starts, and believes she can win her second successive Golden Pendant.
