Warning on Youngstar

ONE’S already a Group 1 winner and the other is on the rise but Chris Waller said his best hope in the Group 2 Shannon Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill tomorrow wasn’t as clear-cut as it may appear on paper.

Queensland Oaks winner and Queensland Derby placegetter Youngstar is an emerging star and is set to start favourite ahead of stablemate Noire .

“You can expect a lot from her this preparation but my only reservation about Youngstar would be second-up over 1500m,” Waller said.
