GOLDEN POINTERS

-

Colts and geldings have dominated the race. No filly has won since it became a Group 1 in 2009. Seabrook is the lone filly in tomorrow’s field.

Four of the past nine winners of the lead-up race Run To The Rose have completed the double. Lean Mean Machine is this year’s Run To The Rose winner after beating Graff and Jonker into the placings.

■Graff is the favourite. His trainer Kris Lees says: “He’s maintained his form, tightened up a little bit more so I think he’s in the right condition to go into a 1400m Group 1 race.”
