She’s A Youeffoh (Race 1) Punters at the Gold Coast could not have asked for a better start. She’s A Youeffoh went straight to the front and never looked like losing.
Calzini (Race 2)
Has a horse ever won a 900m race by a greater distance? Calzini showed plenty of speed early had the field strung out a long way from home. Recorded an outstanding 6½-lengths win.
Aggravate (Race 6)
The excellent day for punters continued with Aggravate. He did have to work hard in the early stages and looked under pressure at the top of the straight, but he kept on finding and ran away from his rivals late. LOSERS
Brax (Race 5)
He didn’t have a great deal of luck but still disappointing from Brax. There was a gap for him at the top of the straight and he simply wasn’t going well enough to take advantage of it.
Ruler (Race 8)
There were some very big bets for Ruler with Ladbrokes ahead of the final race but he was unable to deliver. He had every chance to finish over the top of Straight Home but peaked on his run in the final 100m.
NEXT TIME
Tumult River (Race 3) Tumult River was only narrowly run down by odds-on favourite The Kingdom in the shadows of the post in what was a very tough effort. This was easily the best performance of his career.
Gemelli (Race 7)
The wide barrier draw cost Gemelli this race. He was caught wide and was still only denied by the smallest of margins.
