Hanigan on board
WARATAHS flanker Ned Hanigan is favoured to make his first start for the Wallabies in 10 months to help stiffen the lineout against the reinvigorated Springboks in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.
Lukhan Tui’s decision to stay in Australia for family reasons has cut a key lineout winner from the pack and the Wallabies need to do everything to fortify this spluttering source of possession.
Hanigan is clearly the best lineout figure when weighed up against Caleb Timu and first-time Wallabies tourist Angus Cottrell, the other two candidates to join Michael Hooper and David Pocock in a revamped backrow.
