- SALLY COATES

COOMERA will soon be home to the biggest beer garden on the Glitter Strip.

Located in the dining and lifestyle precinct of the new Westfield Coomera, The Bavarian is a 320-seat restaurant, including 140 seats outdoors, that promises “a little taste of Oktoberfest every day of the year”.

From the renowned Rockpool Dining Group, which owns and operates seven similar beer haunts across Queensland, CEO Thomas Pash said the company was excited to make its mark on the northern Gold Coast.

“Our Bavarian restaurants have a large and loyal following across Queensland and we’re thrilled to be bringing another unique, affordable and family friendly destination to the Gold Coast’s dining scene,” he said.

“We are creating 45 fulltime and casual jobs for locals and are thrilled to be building a deeper connection with the local community and dining public.”

Scheduled to open midOctober, The Bavarian will boast a modern design with features that reflect a Bavarian heritage including stone walls, alpine finishes and large, communal timber tables with bench seating.

Bavarian bites are accompanied by a beer selection that includes 17 brews on tap and one-litre steins. The Bavarian will also have more than 15 large-screen TVs and sports programming.
