A Gentle reminder: I’m at peak of powers
ASHLEIGH Gentle will try to win a third title in as many weeks when she makes her Super League Triathlon debut on Friday.
The Gold Coast triathlete will make her maiden appearance in the unique short format of racing this weekend after claiming victories in the ITU World Triathlon Series grand final on the Gold Coast and Beijing International over the past fortnight.
“It will be fast and difficult racing,” Gentle said of the upcoming Super League campaign.
“It will be interesting to see how everyone goes. I will have had a good three-week block of races done then.”
With the WTS coming to an end, Gentle, who also won gold in the mixed relay at the Commonwealth Games in April, said she was taking advantage of competing without too much pressure.
“After Gold Coast it has all been about new experiences and taking the pressure off. I want to do well but I can just enjoy myself and triathlon.”
