Bronco follows Cam lead

MODELLING her game on Cameron Smith has helped Broncos hooker Brittany Breayley rise to the top of women’s rugby league.

Breayley is favourite to win tonight’s Dally M Female Player of the Year medal in Sydney. The Mackay product helped the Broncos qualify for Sunday’s inaugural NRLW grand final against the Roosters with her strong form, but has long been one of the standouts in the women’s game.

And she said that watching countless videos of Queensland great Smith had helped her learn as many tricks of the trade as possible.

“I like to model my game off Cam Smith,” she said.

“He’s a legend of our game and the way he controls his team around the paddock is how I like to play my game.”
