WILD ABOUT ANIMALS

ALTHOUGH there’s a dog park close by, the park still gets an array of wildlife.

In the small creek running alongside the park, ducks can be seen paddling along the water, dabbling for underwater treats.

The lagoon encourages a range of insects and you can spot dragonflies humming.

Swamp hens and bearded dragons also love the lagoon and it’s not unusual to spot the cheeky critters exploring.

If you’re lucky, you can also spot black swans on the water. Of course, there’s also magpies, crows and miners hoping for someone to drop a morsel. But please, don’t feed the birds.
