PROPOSAL WENT OVERBOARD

-

SITTING on a veranda at 2am, wearing a hospital gown and eating a meat pie after surviving a ship wreck was probably not the setting GOLD FMs Bridget Daley imagined for a marriage proposal. “As has been reported I was on a yacht that ran aground in the Whitsundays,” she explained. “My boyfriend Jamie Brousard was on board and had planned to pop the question on an island during the trip. He had his great-grandmother’s wedding ring in his pocket but when we went into the water all those plans changed. Jamie saw me sitting outside after we were rescued. He came over and said that he thought he had lost me forever and didn’t want to lose me again so right there and then he proposed.” Ain’t true love grand!
