Top award for Brock

LIONS women’s boss Breanna Brock was yesterday announced as the Football Woman of the Year.

The Brisbane women’s chief executive – the competition’s first female in a CEO role – was named as the 22nd winner of the award that is presented by the Essendon Women’s Network.

Brock, who oversaw the Lions’ consecutive AFLW grand final campaigns, said the club was determined to improve and claim a maiden flag.

“They’ve pushed me through that glass ceiling … to have the biggest impact at the Brisbane Lions for our team,” Brock said.
