PAIR’S LEAP OF FASHION FAITH

WHEN Rose Madden (nee Sadleir) left this newspaper she gave up her career in journalism for the world of fashion. With co-creator Vanessa Cave, Nine Lives Bazaar was opened as an online store selling bold, bright ’70s-inspired clothes. “The clothes are definitely a festival favourite brand and anything bell-sleeved and bold are the bestsellers,” said Rose. “After working out of my garage in Tweed Heads for a few years we thought it was time to take a leap of fashion faith, and opened a store in Coolangatta six weeks ago.

“The location is perfect as it’s the only true retro strip on the Gold Coast.”

Now they are preparing for their next collection, Rainbow Revolution, which will be out in about a month.
