Europe takes US for a ride

PAYBACK belongs to Europe, and so does the Ryder Cup.

Two years after the Americans thought they had their Ryder Cup problems figured out, Europe reminded them yesterday morning why they have practically owned this shiny gold trophy for most of the last quartercentury.

Europe recorded the biggest Ryder Cup victory since their 2006 triumph in Ireland with a 17.5-10.5 defeat of the United States at Le Golf National in France.
