-

A WOMAN who hired a car for a daughter who was allegedly high on ice has been put on a six-month good behaviour bond, fined $100 and disqualified from driving for one month. Vivienne Ann Hastie, 49, pleaded guilty in Southport Magistrates Court yesterday to fraud and unlicensed driving.

The court heard that on November 28 last year Hastie hired a car from Apex Rental and drove it despite her licence being suspended. Hastie’s defence was she had hired the car for her son and unknown to Hastie, her daughter took it.
