‘Nothing to fear’ over police numbers

-

A TWEED MP has accused the Labor Party of causing “unnecessary fear in the community” over police numbers.

The statement comes after the NSW Labor Party called for parliament to increase police numbers in the region.

Tweed MP Geoff Provest said recent crime events had nothing to do with police numbers. “If the Shadow Police Minister and the candidate, a former police officer, can’t read publicly available crime statistics then the community can have no confidence in a future Labor government,” he said.
