OUTGOING Gold Coast Suns star Tom Lynch has revealed one of the AFL’s worst-kept secrets after announcing Richmond as his preferred destination, but the former skipper may not be the only one headed for the door.

The Suns have been informed another young talent, Jack Scrimshaw, wants to return home to Melbourne to build his stalled career.

The 20-year-old defender, who played four AFL games in 2017 but none this year, could also be joined in the Victorian capital by Gold Coast teammates Kade Kolodjashnij (Melbourne), Jack Martin (Essendon) and Aaron Hall (North Melbourne).

Among those who could be headed the other way are Richmond duo Anthony Miles and Corey Ellis and Geelong’s George Horlin-Smith, while Tigers forward Jacob Townsend has also been linked with a move to the Suns or St Kilda.

Taken at pick No.7 in the 2016 draft, Scrimshaw is contracted until the end of 2020 but has told manager Robbie D’Orazio he is keen to break that deal and start again in Melbourne.

GOLD Coast could lose yet another young talent with Jack Scrimshaw wanting to return to Melbourne.

Scrimshaw, 20, was taken at pick No.7 in the 2016 draft and swiftly committed to the Suns until 2020.

But manager Robbie D’Or- azio conformed he was keen to break that contract and start again in Melbourne.

“Jack’s contracted for the next two years,” D’Orazio said.

“Extreme talent, just probably hasn’t fitted in at Gold Coast Suns.

“Not everyone can just move out of home at 18 and just make it work.

“We’re talking to Jack at the moment and the Gold Coast and if we can get him home we’ll try.”

The Sandringham Dragons product played four games in 2017 games but none this year.

Also a chance of finding new homes during the trade period are Kade Kolodjashnij (Melbourne), Jack Martin (Essendon) and Aaron Hall (North Melbourne).

Players possibly coming the other way include Tigers Anthony Miles and Corey Ellis and Geelong’s George Horlin-Smith. Richmond forward Jacob Townsend has also been linked with a move to the Suns and also St Kilda.

With key forward Lynch on board, the Tigers would now boast a big six each earning mega coin – Dustin Martin, Dion Prestia, Jack Riewoldt, Alex Rance, Trent Cotchin and Lynch.

Which is why the likes of Miles, Ellis, Horlin-Smith, Townsend and possibly Reece Conca have been linked with moves elsewhere.
