Labrador hotel plan

A GOLD Coast Highway site will be transformed into the city’s newest hotel under plans which reveal a new look for the long-empty block of land.

The 29-unit project is earmarked for an undeveloped site on the corner of Labrador’s Gold Coast Highway/Frank St and Hunter Ave.

It will be primarily targeted at the budget market.

Put forward by developer Windbell Pty Ltd, the threestorey building would also have a manager’s apartment and suite containing an office.

The proposed hotel will go before the council’s planning committee later this year.
