Libs offer beer bribe

GOLD Coast Federal Minister Steven Ciobo has no issues with the Liberal Party offering discounts on beer, chocolates and boots in a bid for members.

Heading into elections next year with a dipping membership base, it was revealed yesterday that the NSW Liberal Party was offering discounts on RM Williams boots, Coopers beer and Haigh’s Chocolates to secure members.

Mr Ciobo said he was sure people would primarily get involved in the party because they were passionate about politics.
