Mum has just been in hospital for the most part of the last six weeks. I dread to think of how much we all spent on parking alone just so we could be by her side. It makes me so angry that a company is benefiting from people wanting to be there as much as they can for their loved ones.

It should be free, it’s a hospital, people go there because they emotionally must. Not a shopping centre where they have a choice. Easy money from vulnerable people.

It’s silly, at least Robina is cheaper. Give it back to the public, lower the GCUH prices.

I find it easier to park my car and tram to my cardiac or dental appointments. Much cheaper than parking there.

Employees of the hospital spend up to $90 a week out of their own money to park for work in a safe location.

Taking advantage of the sick and their loved ones is criminal. In the past 14 days, I have spent over $160 in car park fees at GCUH and this is with a carer’s $5 discount.

That private company would’ve paid millions to build that, they’re not going to just drop the prices. If you want real change you should get the local MPs to buy it so it’s owned by the people first.

It’s so expensive and you would hate to tell your loved one you can’t visit them because you just don’t have spare cash. That would be sad.

It’s a privately built commercial parking building. Who on earth would expect that to be free?

It’s extra stress and financial pressure on families
