Irvine injured in Tigers loss

SOCCEROOS midfielder Jackson Irvine was injured in Hull City’s 1-0 loss to English Championship leaders Leeds United, while Massimo Luongo’s QPR won at Reading.

Leeds returned to the top of the English second tier with Tuesday night’s home victory over the Tigers.

With Irvine succumbing to an achilles injury after 28 minutes, Hull went down after a 51st-minute goal from Tyler Roberts.

Luongo played all 90 minutes in QPR’s 1-0 victory against Reading.
