DO BETTER WITH THE BULLETIN
FORMER rugby player-turned-reality star Nick “Honey Badger” Cummins has left the final two women on The Bachelor embarrassed and feeling abandoned.
In an Aussie TV first, Cummins rejected both Sophie Tieman and Brittany Hockley at the finale, deeming none of the 28 women on the show worth dating in the real world.
But just because Tieman and Hockley didn’t get their man, doesn’t mean there’s no hope for the rest of us bachelors and bachelorettes.
Yesterday the Gold Coast Bulletin opened up nominations for our very own Bulletin Bachies to find our city’s most eligible singles.
Nominations close at midday next Friday.
We will choose the top 10 men and women from the nominations before they go to a public vote.
The top pair will then be treated to a luxurious dinner at Nineteen at The Star and will stay in a King Superior Deluxe room each.
Last night, Britt and Sophie said Cummins, who jetted overseas to walk the Kokoda Track on the weekend, had a lot of explaining to do.
“It would have been nice to have had a few answers,” Hockley said.
“He has chosen not to be here, he’s off gallivanting the world,” Tieman said.
The ladies said Cummins had reached out to them both in the days after the finale was filmed in May but neither want to date him.
Cummins was not available for interviews yesterday.
On the episode he said: “I came here for a chance at love and now I’m going to have to start again.
“She’s out there.” Head to goldcoastbulletin.com.au/ competitions for your chance to be the Bulletin Bachie. Go to the site to enter and for full terms and conditions. Entries close 12pm 12/10/18. Winners notified by phone. Total prize pool $1576.
