Not such a gem of idea at Byron

amanda.robbemond@news.com.au A WOMAN has been arrested and charged in Byron Bay after allegedly stealing jewellery and swearing at a stall holder.

On September 28 at 7.45pm the woman, who was understood to be affected by alcohol, was allegedly seen to steal some jewellery from a stall on Jonson St.

A stall holder confronted the woman, who allegedly yelled abuse. Police attended and she was taken to Byron Bay Police Station where she allegedly continued to yell abuse at officers.

She was granted conditional bail to Byron Bay Local Court on October 8.
