De Minaur in three-set loss

ALEX de Minaur has finished short of another miracle comeback after going down in three sets 6-3, 5-7, 6-1 to world No.15 Stefanos Tsitsipas in the second round of the Japan Open.

De Minaur looked on the ropes as Tsitsipas served for the match at 5-3 in the second set but the Australian launched a trademark comeback.

Saving two match points, de Minaur reeled off four straight games to take the set 7-5. In a stretch from early in the second set he had also managed to fend off 12 break points.
