ONE FINAL BARRIER, GEORGIA
THE gruelling Coolangatta Gold pushed Georgia Miller to the brink yesterday.
Midway through the final run leg the 22-year-old who recently moved to the Gold Coast was awash with self-doubt as a panic attack gripped her: “My breathing got all funny, I started to tear up and I thought that was going to be it for me,” she said.
Bu she refused to yield, pushing aside the pain and demons before stopping momentarily at the finish line – to savour the moment before claiming the biggest win of her career. COOLY GOLD
