Hunt for attackers

POLICE are hunting a gang of men who allegedly attacked a 49-year-old man from behind outside a popular Broadbeach cabaret restaurant in the early hours of yesterday.

The man was walking along Hooker Boulevard outside Draculas shortly after midnight when a group of men approached him from behind and attacked him. The man was hit several times in the face before he fell over. He was then kicked in the head several times before the men ran off towards Broadbeach.

Their victim was taken by ambulance to the Gold Coast University Hospital with nonlife threatening injuries.
