Pregnancy stats shock
CONTRACEPTION is being given the cold shoulder by Australian women with more than half of unintended pregnancies the result of unprotected sex.
A study, published yesterday in the Medical Journal of Australia and collected by La Trobe University researchers, gives a rare insight into how women react to a positive pregnancy test. Of more than 2570 women interviewed, 1390 or 69 per cent had been pregnant in the last decade with more than a quarter of those pregnancies “unintended” and half of those women did not use any contraception.
