GET ready to explore all things creative and digital at TAFE Queensland Coomera’s annual Open Day this weekend.

The campus will open its doors to the public on Saturday to showcase the range of courses available from virtual reality to graphic design.

Queensland’s Vocational Student of the Year Odin Lowsley said he was supported every step of the way during his time at the campus.

“Being able to study what I love with supportive, experience­d people around me was a dream come true,” he said.

“I was able to receive an abundance of handson experience … such as being able to design for “live” clients, who would select student works for their businesses.”

Mercury’s Wings theatre company will be hosting a physical theatre workshop for budding actor to improve their performanc­e abilities.

Co-director James Anderson said the workshop, open to the public, is perfect for those just starting their entertainm­ent careers.

“We use many eyecatchin­g props that will make this workshop memorable for learning purposes,” he said.
