Fierce foes join forces

-

JULIA Robinson and Jess Sergis clashed in one of the most memorable moments of the NRLW season, but the young duo will this weekend combine forces in the green and gold.

The backline sensations were two of the stars in the inaugural women’s NRL premiership and will be unleashed against the Kiwi Ferns when they make their Australian debuts on Saturday.

Together they will fight to maintain the Jillaroos’ recent winning run over the Ferns – which includes last year’s World Cup victory – and battle to cement their places as the future of the women’s Australian side.

They are both relieved to now be on the same team after an almighty collision between them in Round 1 of the NRLW became a huge talking point.

Dragons centre Sergis came off second best in a brutal head clash with Broncos winger Robinson and had to leave the field with concussion.

She still doesn’t remember a lot about the incident but knows it has since gone down in women’s rugby league history.
