Hye eyeing Pacific title

GOLD Coast’s Hye Park will enter the final round of the South Pacific Open Classic at Surfers Paradise Golf Club today with a share of the lead.

The 15-year-old, a member at Royal Pines, is joined at the top of the leaderboard by Indooroopilly 17-year-old Isabelle Simpson (74, 70) after shooting rounds of 71 and 73 on the first two days.

Hye’s second round included five birdies.

Royal Melbourne’s Alizza Hetherington, 18, is three strokes back.

Play in the final round begins at 8.30am today.
