Carol’s set for more landmarks

-

AGELESS Gold Coast athlete Carol Davis has set her sights on the Australian and Pan Pac records after another dominant showing.

Davis broke the Australian javelin record for women aged 65-69 by exactly 1m at the Griffith Uni athletics venue recently.

She threw 25.51m, breaking the existing record set in 2015.

Davis thought she had broken the record two weeks earlier when she threw 24.82m, however she was unaware of the rule that the throw has to be measured with a metal tape.

She also broke the Queensland triple jump record for women aged 65-69 at the Queensland Masters Championships in Brisbane in March.

She is now preparing for the Pan Pacs Masters Games at Runaway Bay in November.
