I STRIPPED OFF ONLINE TO HELP FRIEND

GRANDMA’S NAKED CHARITY

THE “World’s Hottest Grandma” says there is a personal reason behind the photo that put the online world into a frenzy yesterday.

Gina Stewart gained worldwide exposure when it was revealed a racy photo of the 48-year-old was removed by Instagram for breaching nudity guidelines.

Ms Stewart, who this year made the finals of the Maxim’s Finest Australia competition against women 30 years her junior, is livid with the decision as there was “no nipple” in the image.

She said the reason she stripped online was to help a longtime friend and mother who this year suffered a stroke.

MS Stewart’s best friend of 30 years suffered a stroke on March 12.

Ms Stewart said the mother of two teenage boys was previously healthy and had no warning signs.

Ms Stewart immediately set up a Go Fund Me campaign to help her friend, which has raised $4700.

“It all started when I entered a Maxim competition to try to win the prize money for my best friend that suffered a stroke.

“I seriously don’t know what all the fuss is about, it’s unwanted attention.”

Ms Stewart won the title of World’s Hottest Granny after she won a public poll by UK news site Daily Star.

The winner of Maxim Cover Girl wins $25,000 and is decided by a voting system.

Ms Stewart, a grandmother to an 18-month-old child, claimed the reason for her raunchy posts was to garner public attention, and thus votes, to win the money.

She said the photo on Instagram – in which she was naked, curled up on a chair with her hair covering her nipples – was not as bad as others on the social media site.

“There are far more revealing photos all over Instagram,” she said.
