Man admits bank horror

AN ANGRY bank customer who turned himself into a human fireball after waiting too long to be served has pleaded guilty to a string of charges.

Nur Islam, 22, is still significantly injured from the November 2016 incident in which he suffered burns to more than 60 per cent of his body.

Islam pleaded guilty via video link at the Victorian County Court to 11 charges over the horror incident. Graphic CCTV footage showed Islam pour petrol around the bank, then stand in a puddle of fuel and set himself alight.
