EXPANSION PLANS PUT SITE ON MARKET

-

A PRIME parcel of Beenleigh land that neighours the Department of Main Roads and Transport will go under the hammer next month.

The 39-49 Logan River Rd property is being offloaded by Coastal Sails Pty Ltd, which is linked to Petros and Stephen Copulos. The 1.7ha property includes an old, vacant 2400sqm warehouse and has frontage to Logan River and Spanns roads.

It is zoned mixed-use. Suitable uses include lowimpact industry, logistics, warehousing, bulky goods, aged-care, storage, fuel, fastfood and office development, subject to council approval.

Avanti Commercial’s Mason Kidman, who is marketing the property with colleague Lachlan Harris, said prospective buyers could repair the warehouse.

“Some people are looking at using the warehouse because the built frame and steelwork and concrete dock are in good condition,” he said.

“Other people will look at it purely as a land holding.”

The property is 1.5km from the Beenleigh CBD and 2.5km from the M1 Motorway.

Logan River Rd links estates in Holmview, Bethania, Waterford, Loganlea and Logan Central.

Mr Kidman said Beenleigh had come along in leaps and bounds in recent times.

“Beenleigh is maturing into a high-density area.”

He said the owner was selling because it needs a larger site for a planned development.

An auction is due to be held onsite at 11am on Friday, November 2.
