Noel. “The war dance/ tongues” is part of New Zealand’s culture. Every (most) country has a “song to sing”. We have NZ neighbours, always ready to help out. Please appreciate all cultures, makes for a peaceful life. Ma

Re Tedder ave ghost town … Had the local main beach antiprogress, nimby, greenie Luddite association... and the greenie ‘save our spit’ mischievous rabble, not stopped the ASF spit CST … Tedder ave would have once again become a booming happy, wealthy, metropolis. No brainer

RM I totally agree with you. I also was taken by ambulance to Robina Hospital. I waited on the stretcher for 45 minutes. I am now in private health so this will never happen again. These hard working professionals deserve a medal. The public health system urgently needs to be overhauled. Julz.

Ann, each to their own. But Magpies know they have to fend for themselves and do it adequately. If you feed them once, they’ll be same place same time waiting each day afterwards. But if that doesn’t worry you, raw mince meat is best. No seasonings. LS

Rehabilitation services under enormous pressure because of these human burdens who stuff this slow-killing ice into their systems and we the cleanskins have to run around wiping their noses. Wake up, have a few beers and enjoy life. It is very short. even shorter for this lot … Father Bob

Rod Riguuez - it’s not the greenie Luddites. It’s the idiots we put in power all listen to the minority. Sid.

Would have been funny watching all the cruise ships come and dock in the seaway the past week, do people get the picture that a CST needs a natural harbour not an entrance off the Tasman Sea.

Jessica Mitford Social Scene (GCB 16/10) re: Institute for Glycomics Ball. Va va voom!! Honey, you are rocking that gold frock. It fits you like a glove and it seems to have been painted on you. You look stunning and elegant. Nice to see a young lady all-frocked up with just the right amount of skin on show.

Can I just say what a waste of money council spent on Shannon Willoughby’s study that did not extend to how ratepayers and locals are affected by the oversupply of international students. Most know they take part-time work away from locals, in order to supplement their cost of living and studying on

Gold Coast. Please someone do an audit of this ridiculous spending!

Jeopardising Australia’s best interests and international trading relationships for a few extra votes in Wentworth. What a desperate, reckless and dangerous buffoon our new PM has become. Cosmo

Morrison and The Clueless Coalition … good name for a band! Can they make any more dumb decisions??

Shorten will win next year … just. But more likely Labor will change leaders and absolutely annihilate the Libs. Mk.

The most dangerous drivers on the M1 are not the ones who are doing 120 it’s the ones who are driving at 90 in the left hand lane and when you driving at 110 and trying to with cars behind you doing the same and you are trying to get over to exit its very dangerous. Jamie We the taxpayers paid for the car park. It sits on crown land, so do not pay rates. So why is someone allowed to make mega dollars out of our property? It and all similar parks should be run on a no profit system. We the people own it. Glyn

My house is a fairly old timber place and rattles in strong winds and rain. There always seems to be wind coming though the place even with the doors and windows closed. A builder came around to fix it and after a short while said, mate you got more drafts coming and going than the AFL.

Recently watched Bondi Life Guards where the lifesavers paddled out on boards to retrieve two people in trouble. They had a lot of trouble getting back to shore – one swimmer actually died. If they had the old belt and reel attached they could have been pulled back in from shore and maybe saved a life? Johnny T

Instead of wasting millions of taxpayers money on a ex naval ship for a dive site, why not weld together the thousands of abandoned orange push bikes, littering the Gold Coast streets and use them for an artificial reef. Palmy Steve

Can anyone advise why it would be necessary on a section of road with a speed limit of 60kph to have an advisory yellow corner sign with the same 60kph. Surely the yellow sign is only needed when a lesser speed is needed to negotiate the corner?

Whoever doesn’t believe it’s OK to be white is racist. GP
