OMG now I’ve heard it all car racing makes it rain. Really so why didn’t it rain at all the other events? Maybe we should have a race out west so the farmer’s can get some rain .....

The Govt loses Wentworth and blames Turnbull. reminds me of Clinton blaming everyone else except himself. wanna see why you lost Wentworth? Look in the mirror. Doug

It will only be a matter of time before a transgender school student sues an elite private school for not allowing them entry to a ‘single sex’ school. This will force private schools to become ‘co-ed’.

Not a monarchist but Prince Harry is definitely a man of the people. He has his late mothers genes and just a pity she is not with us to see how her sons have grown into caring people. Harry is a breath of fresh air to the royal family and Meghan fits in perfectly. PF

- I’d rather sit at a cafe full of dogs any day. It’s still cleaner than eating from tables where so often I see parents let their babies crawl around wearing dirty nappies and bare feet. - Boots

Good to see they got rid of the hippies at Burleigh. Now the parking inspectors can get rid of the Byrons and nimbies parking and camping illegally in the car parks next

Given that millions of Japanese travel the world each and every year to ask rugby players and fans visiting for the World Cup to cover their tattoos is a bit of a stretch. They need to come into the 21st century. Doug

Malcolm resigns and caused a bi-election which the Liberals then lose. Now ScoMo wants to send Malcolm to Bali to represent Australia at a climate change conference. Well Scotty, it’s time to stand up and be counted. Are you a conservative or just Turnbull light? GT

The sooner Jeff Horn puts “The Man” to sleep the sooner we can all forget him. ND

I can visualise dramatic tension between Kerryn Phillips and Pauline Hanson just like the clashes between Pauline and Derryn Hinch who tries to bully Pauline but comes off second best with a shouting match. Kerryn Phillips will be too timid for Pauline. KenW.

Another gc600 another traffic nightmare over. And hardly anyone shows up for the event despite the spin reported. And those who do don’t have necks. The glory

days of Indy are over. Stop living in the past people. Elvis is dead also. Lets move on before we embarrass ourselves any further. And a new mayor wouldn’t hurt.- Gwen

the NBA bank

at robins today to open a business account only to be told to make an appointment we have nobody available. In times past it would have been please sit down while I put the kettle on and get the cake out of the oven. Goodbye to 100,000 plus a year. Sso much for customer service. Digger.

Re smoking in cars … yes of course they can wait. at least that's what they will tell you … but they will still just keep smoking while kids are in the car.

Dear Davo and Kev, I am a single woman who has searched for a decent bloke for what seems like forever. Not all woman are after your money or your body, so please don’t give up and nor shall I. Ever hopeful correct regarding the PM, but at the end of the day people vote because of who the leader is! And let’s not forget a high percentage of voters could not even name their local MP! KB

Olympic Games bid for Brisbane. Surely an event like that which costs so many tax payers Dollars should be first put to a vote by taxpayers. Just maybe the money could be better spent on hospitals housing or even roads. I can’t even imagine just the cost of the bid for the games. Jobs for the boys l think it’s called. GL.

With the fuel prices so high, I smile every time I drive past Shell at Benowa Village where the forecourt is continually empty. Good on the public for boycotting them. 173.9 per litre for diesel for the last few weeks. Love to get the radio stations to get the public to take pics of fuel prices to name and shame these greedy grubs. M. T.

Having read your Wednesday GCB editorial, regards the shortfalls of the Qld Labor Govt, I would like to know where the LNP are on these issues. We hear nothing from them, in opposition, I would have thought they would be vocal on all these issues. They are weak, no wonder the Govt Ministers get away with not making decisions on their individual portfolios. Come on LNP, make some noise. Matt

Hey Charlie I bet your fridge and cupboards are full of internationally owned products. All profits going offshore. I’ll keep buying US lotto tickets thanks. If I win I can donate to Aussie charities like I do now, only more.
