EUSTICE ON NEW CHARGES
ACCUSED fraudster Andrew Eustice has been arrested and is expected to face further charges relating to alleged fraud worth up to $1 million.
Police swooped on Eustice’s Surfers Paradise home about 10.30am yesterday and took him to the Southport Watchhouse.
The 57-year-old was arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into the alleged fraudulent acquisition and on-sale of luxury vessels. He is expected to be charged with 13 additional fraudrelated offences.
Police allege up to $1 million was swindled from victims.
Eustice was first arrested in August at a multimillion-dollar Paradise Waters home and charged with fraud relating to his dealings at Platinum Boat Sales at Mariners Cove.
It will be alleged Eustice, as salesman for Platinum Boat Sales, took multiple deposits for boats and, unknown to the owner, sold the vessels.
Police said the initial arrest prompted a number of victims to come forward to police.
Last month, the Southport Magistrates Court was told Eustice made an application for Legal Aid.
He had previously been using lawyers based in South Australia.
Legal Aid is a taxpayer-funded system that provides defendants with funding to help fight their court matters.
His next court date in relation to those matters is December 6.
