- BRIANNA MORRIS-GRANT

Stuck for ideas on what to do this Halloween? If you’re not keen on the usual trickor-treating routine, here are some frighteningly good alternatives

HALLOWEEN this year might fall on one of the most boring days of the week, but that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on some truly spooktacular fun.

We’ve put together a list of all the best Halloween events going on tonight and tomorrow across the Gold Coast for you to find the best of the best thrills. Our favourite this year is Timezone Coolangatta’s Halloween party,

where you can get yourself four hours of fun and unlimited games for just $25.

Their celebration of the year’s most terrifying holiday wants you all to dress up in your best costumes and bring every member of the family for the chance to wow the judges and win big.

Store manager Andrew Campbell said he’s excited to see how the Gold Coast responds.

“We’re looking for things that show they care, that they’ve put time and effort into the costume, that kind of thing,” he said.

“We’ve had winners who are in scary stuff, ones who have dressed up really well. We’re not really looking for a Halloween theme but just something impressive.

“The cinema is helping us out by providing popcorn, and we’ve got one our local businesses that does cupcake days bringing Halloween-themed cakes people can enjoy while they’re here.”

The centre promises something for everyone of all ages to enjoy as it counts down the hours to all the spooky fun and games.

But that’s not even the half of it – here are some more terrifyingly exciting events across the Gold Coast this Halloween.
