TODAY: Leftover SSE swell continues to fade. Inconsiste­nt 2 to 3ft sets at northern NSW south-facing breaks early, dropping to 2ft later. Up to a slower 1 to 2ft exposed Queensland beaches, grading to 1ft or so in the bays and along the points. WIND: Early light NW tending N, then NNE around 10 to 20 knots.

TOMORROW: Residual SSE up to a slow 1 to 2ft exposed northern NSW beaches, grading to 1ft southern Queensland breaks and tiny/ near flat along the points and inside the bays. WIND: Early light WNW to NNW tending NNE 10 to 20 knots in the afternoon.

FRIDAY: Background SSE swell up to a slow 1 to 2ft northern NSW south-facing breaks. Grading to 1ft or so exposed Queensland breaks and near-flat along the points and bays. WIND: Early light WNW to NW 5 to 15 knots, tending NNE 15 to 20 knots.

SATURDAY: Slight NE wind- waves up to a junky 1 to 2ft exposed open beaches, otherwise tiny to near-flat elsewhere. WIND: Early NW to NNW 15 to 20 knots, tending Northerly later.

SUNDAY: Potential for slight NE windswell up to a weak 1 to 2ft exposed open beaches. Superseded by a minor rise in S swell building towards 2 to 3ft across northern NSW south-facing breaks during the afternoon/ evening. WIND: Early light WNW/NNW, turning Northerly 15 to 20 knots in the arvo.

MONDAY: Potential for mid-period S swell ranging from 2 to 4ft northern NSW south-facing breaks. Mixing with slight NE windswell at 1 to 2ft+ exposed Queensland beaches and grading smaller in the bays and along the points. WIND: Early NW to NNW 10 to 20 knots, tending NNE in the afternoon.
