OFF THE RECORD

-

WHAT on earth happened to this charming, handsome and mega popular CEO? Rumour has it that he was escorted from his office under the orders of those way up the food chain and was last seen driving into the sunset. There was also talk that nothing was allowed to be touched or taken with him which indicates some serious misbehaviour. Guess we will never discover his big bad secret because in these cases the answer is always swept under the office rug.

WHY is it so? Could someone please explain the law of inverse behaviour? To explain. As soon as anyone is heard big-noting and talking themselves up, it seems to only be a matter of time before their world starts to crash around them. Like this case where the owner of a popular nosh joint was telling everyone how well his businesses were travelling. Now the noshery has closed up shop along with his other ventures and the mega-mouth owner is nowhere to be seen. It can’t possibly be a lack of moolah as he constantly spruiked how wealthy he was. Ho! Ho!

DRINKING and driving is a big no no but to that you can now add drinking and walking. How else to explain how this social dame was one minute tottering along nicely and next minute ended face first in a chocolate fountain. She claims that she tripped on something but it is more likely a case of one tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor!

THOSE that can, do, those that can’t seem to head off and become an expert in the very thing they can’t master. In this case it is a dame sending word out to her gal pals that she is now operating as a financial adviser. Ironic really because almost every monetary decision she has ever made has ended in tears with the people who trusted her losing money. You won’t be surprised to hear that the phone has not been ringing with people anxious to hire her.

THE scene is a big grand opening. There he stood — tall, handsome and well dressed — knowing he looked the part and also well aware of the keen interest a nearby gaggle of gals was sending his way. That is until a platter of food came around for the guests. Locking on to the savoury delights he pushed forcefully through the gaggle filling his mitts with as much as he could carry. First impressions count and his rude, boorish behaviour was a definite turn off.
